IMPORTANT :: READ THIS :: WOW!

Ok so, here's the deal. I received a copy of an email recently that is reported to have been sent by a Rogers employee in response to a customer complaint regarding the amount of paper Rogers wastes in it's marketing initiatives.

Needless to say I've already contacted the highest levels of Rogers corporate to verify this transaction but I trust the source implicitly so there's little probability of this being a hoax.

I encourage you, if you are as offended by the both the tone and content of this employee's response to email or call Rogers and demand an explanation.

Dear (name withheld),

Thank you for taking the time to write to us, we appreciate your use of online customer service.
In your recent email, you have informed us that you are not happy with the waste created by our advertising initiatives.

We can appreciate your concern. We have forwarded your feedback to the corresponding department for review. We appreciate your use of our ondemand service However "An Inconvenient truth" is a propaganda film that illustrates that global warming is caused by CO2 and human activity; which is not true according to the non-partisan science community. Global warming is caused by the sun spot phenomenon. As a result we cannot derive our company policy based on unproven science dictated by Al Gore who uses it to further his own political agenda.

Thank you for your inquest and continued patronage.

Give me a break! The guy said nothing remotley wrong. You people need to get a life! Does it make you feel important to twist peoples words? REBELS WITHOUT A CAUSE.

After listening to your lousy music; I would have to say that your songs are lame, your musicianship is outright pathetic and you have no talent what so ever. I hope you guys don't think your breaking new ground cause you sound like every other boring pseudo artist wannabe fruits. Your band sucks! Absolutley dreadful.

Typical responses from the worlds sad majority that should be euthanized. Instead of addressing the issue or respond to your post they take personal offense, begin the name calling and simply make themselves look like complete intellectual caverns.

Whether or not you believe in a or b, in the corporate world, personal opinions cannot be expressed as such. I guarantee Ted Rogers would agree he did say something wrong. Whats to stop him from expressing his opinions on Gay Marriage, "Black" movies & music, 9-11 Hoax Material... Basically, when you're a customer service jockey, and your life didn't work out as expected (making it past grade 9 would have helped), just do your job and say yes sir we're sorry sir.

And to the postee that found it a necessity to bash you're music, classy. Perhaps next time it's 3am and you have nothing better to do with your life you can do us all a favour and mix a nice tall glass of vodka/draino - make it a double.

I'd like to applaud all of the above wordsmiths for having the courage of your convictions to sign your name...oh wait.

Wow...I didn't realize I had such, how shall I say, asshole-a-rific readership.

Thank you 'anonymous' for your constructive input we'll be sure to stop sucking as soon as possible. I keep telling the guys we suck but they, and a few thousand others, for some reason, keep insisting we have some talent. Idiots if you ask me.

Dear @lex,

Imagine hating a band as much as that guy clearly does, and now imagine going to that band's website. Now imagine reading the blogs of the people in the band you really hate. Now imagine getting so caught up in the topic raised by the guy in the band you really hate enough that you feel you have to comment on it. And then imagine taking the time to remind the band you really hate how much you really hate them, on their blog, on their website.

I don't much care for nickelback. I've never been to their website. I don't know if they have blogs. I have never gone to any trouble to tell them personally how much they suck.

Because I don't much care for them.

My guess is what we have here is a person from your past, someone who knows you, who is intensely jealous of you. Jealous of what you're doing with your life, and especially jealous of the fact that there are significant numbers of people who care what you have to say. And further jealous of the fact that you have the opportunity to say what's on your mind through this blog. It must burn him up to no end to know that he is one of those people who care deeply about what you think. He is likely the poster boy for the term, self-hatred.

Well said my good friend. As we journey toward superstardom I'm sure all of us will have haters from our past. As they sit at their desk, at their inevitably irrelevant and soul destroying jobs, they will have nothing better to do but to seek out people who are interested in hearing about such gripping topics as:

1. How much we suck.
2. How 'gay' we were in high school.
3. How stupid we look.

...etc, etc...

Naturally, all the while it will be done under the courageous banner of anonymity.

What can you do? Nothing, life has dealt them the ultimate karmic reckoning, a life of anger and mediocrity. Enjoy you psychologically castrated troglodytes.

Oh and for the record, yes because my band 'sucks' you're right, this customer service agent was fully justified in espousing his political ignorance in a corporate missive.

Well played sir/madam. Well PLAYED!

Honestly, I feel bad for that guy. Have you ever gone to a band website and not liked the music? Happens to me all the time. Click... I'm gone. What must be wrong in his brain for him to react, "I've listened to your music and have determined that it sucks, and by extension, you suck as a person. It's important to me that you know how I feel about how much you suck."

God, if I felt compelled to tell every band I don't like that I don't like them, I'd spend all day on the blogs of bands I don't like... like he does. Must be an interesting life.

Truly,

Clearly we have some axe grinding going on here. However it would seem however I wronged him/her in the past was justified.

But for the record, "I'm sorry I didn't call back your sister after that night in [YOUR_TOWN]. You know how it is when you get to drinking."

This is only a sign that you guys are doing all the right things. The better you do, the more people will hate on you.

At the end of the day people are small and petty creatures. They begrudge the success of others and lash out in hatred and cowardice.

Mick, you're absolutely right, Alex should be flattered that he can get in the head of a person like this. If he didn't care...then he wouldn't care but it's obvious that he knows that your band WILL soon be in part of our collective consciousness and that just burns his ass cause he'll still be doing the same thing he was when he knew Alex.

This was a copied response from Rogers to a friend of mine who in my opinion was treated with little respect, and his opinions called into question. The fact that a customer representative expressed personal opinions as detailed below is just as ignorant as his point about my friends ignorance. Your job is to consider the legitimacy of his complaint, say yes sir, thank you sir and pass it along to those that may be interested in what consumers think, without the judgment or "propaganda" rhetoric.

So barring this landing solely on the desk of Mr. Derek O - I would like to file an official complaint about this individual, who should learn to respect the paying customer.

Can I say something nice for a change around here?

Alex is clearly extremely intelligent and The Free Press are amazing. Pure and simple.

All y'all haters who liked The Gentlemen Callers can move on with your life. They were funny but come on... it wasn't exactly ground breaking either. Difference is in my case I don't care if it was.

Without a doubt, this is the strangest path, I've heard of, that someone has taken to come across my blog.

That picture of Coulier does get me a lot of traffic.

Question, why on earth are you googling Dave Coulier?
