Dave Coulier, Urinating on Houses and The Origins of The Band

This is a little gem of a photo I forgot I had. First of all, yes that is Dave Coulier, Uncle Jesse from TV's Full House. Secondly let me answer the next and most obvious question, "Why do you have a picture of TV's Dave Coulier giving the double bird?" Well that's an easy one. My old musical comedy group, The Gentlemen Callers, once did a gig in Winnipeg where we opened for him for a week. It was just a surreal as one might imagine. Somehow along the way and perhaps after some discount ales we managed to convince him that he needed to take this picture.

This has nothing to do with the band except that it was on this same trip that the band came to be.

JD found himself in Winnipeg at the same time as me so we thought, hey let's get really drunk with booze we bought illegally, after hours from some drive up joint, bribe a hotel room from the overnight desk clerk and sneak in a few waitresses from the comedy club. I say sneak because the owner lived in the Hotel as well and didn't want to see the staff cavorting with the dregs of society a.k.a. musicians. Anyway somewhere between urinating on a house and leaving a couple cases of unused alcohol in the bathtub we decided that this lifestyle was fun and that we should form a band so that we could do more of this as soon and as frequently as possible.

Speaking of which, we're due to tour soon. That should be fun.
